COMSA opens office in Shanghai
COMSA does not only continue to develop in Germany, also in the booming automobile market of China COMSA would like to establish its wiring harness development system LDorado. An attendance in May 2005 showed, that constant processes within this range are rather the exception and so a large Potenzial for a proven solution as LDorado is present. This moved Josef Biermeier, the managing director of the COMSA GmbH, to start to January 2006 an own office in China. As location Shanghai was certainly founded, there are some potential customers settled.
The office will start with an experienced coworker from the CAD-PLM-electrical connection. Mr. Zhenxin Yao will work as a senior Consultant in Shanghai. "I regard it as a large challenge, to success a product tested in Germany also in China", was its motivation, to engage itself for LDorado. Apart from the support of existing customers - i.e. branches of German customers in China - at the beginning the gaining of new customers will be natural. This customers will be joint ventures with western OEMs, original Chinese manufacturers or also suppliers. The structure is in China similar as in Europe. Constantly then the agency is to be developed.

COMSA celebrates 20. Aniversary Six employees of Computervision Inc. foundet COMSA GmbH on November 15th 1984. It was not foreseeable at this time that it would become a very successful company. After services for the former employer at the beginning COMSA started very early developing own products and the tuning of existing packages for the German market. The time of a successful marketing of the PC version of Medusa began and led to more or less frequent confrontations with the various Medusa owners. Medusa was the kernel of CABLOS, the BMW harness design system. That was the entrance to the harness business for COMSA. Since that the know-how in dealing with OEMs and the suppliers developed further on. In 2002 COMSA took the chance, to combine its experience from product development with the know-how from wiring harness development and started developing LDorado Harness Lab, meanwhile benchmark for many competitors within this range. The most beautiful birthday gift COMSA GmbH gave to itself on November 15th 2004: LDorado Harness Lab was released as the very development tool for new vehicle projects within the Volkswagen AG. A perfect timing.
LDorado Harness Lab In 2003 COMSA presented LDorado Harness lab, the dedicated solution for harness Design. The first productive versions have been used successfully by German car manufacturers in 2004 already. Following BMW also the Volkswagen AG decided for LDorado Harness Lab. For 2005 the directions are given for a productive and successful usage of LDorado Harness Lab by both OEM's and their suppliers.
